>From the responses to my orginal question on getting fastest video
realtime performace in scene layout and modeler, I see that the first
version of lightwave will only use 2d video graphics calls. But when
Lightwave supports OpenGL (any idea on release date of Lightwave OpenGL)
the 3d performance will shine on your video cards making XZ and Extreme
and god help us Reality Engine based SGIs. So I have two questions
1) How does SGI XL 2d graphics speed compare to the hotest 4meg graphics
cards for the PC under Win NT?
2) How will SGI XZ compare to some of the new graphics cards for the PC
now that will support OpenGL?
Obvisly the sooner OpenGL in Lightwave is supported the less important
question one will be.
I guess the ultimate question will be how will an XZ Indy or Indigo
compare to a Alpha 300mhz will a buff OpenGL graphics card?
Thanks for all responses!
